Year 7 Faith Retreat Day

The Faith Retreat Day focuses on the fact that faith communities will always inspire us to know what it means to love and live with one another in ways that truly show the face of Christ to the world. It will draw on the power of love and trust that is shown in family, the encouragement that comes from working in teams focused on vision and values as encouraged within our school community and to draw grace from the Church community to be agents of the mission we are commissioned to partake in as followers of Christ.

The Retreat Day is part of regular attendance at school, and all students are expected to attend.

Year 7 Camp

Year 7 cohort participate in a three-day camp which offers student a chance to build networks, make connections and improve interactions with their peers. The camp environment also helps to improve student’s independence and level of responsibility.

K-2 Parent Information Night

This is an opportunity for parents to hear from the Senior Leadership of the College about the hopes and aspirations for 2020, and your classroom teachers to provide you with important information that will support a settled environment.

If you have specific questions about your child, please make an appointment to meet with the classroom teacher or the Leadership Team.

At this event, the classroom teachers will be asking volunteers to be Class Representatives (if one has not already been selected). This is a vital role in connecting the classroom to the community and we greatly appreciate the dedication of our parents who work in this role.

Year 12 Retreat

As part of their Year 12 experience, the Year 12 students will attend a three-day Retreat in Bindoon. During this important time of quiet reflection and time away from the usual school routines, the Year 12’s have an opportunity to seriously reflect upon their lives, explore and deepen their spirituality and faith experiences through small group sharing, reflective prayer and celebrating Reconciliation and Eucharist.

Whilst not at retreat students will participate in a school based program designed to support the achievement of academic goals.

Students will participate in Religion, English or Literature workshops and will also have an opportunity to set and define motivating and realistic goals for the year. A sausage sizzle lunch cooked by members of the Senior Leadership Team will #unite and serve as another bonding experience for the cohort. The second day of the program will see students sit assessments in Literature or English and Religion.

As a Catholic, Marist school, the retreat and study program are compulsory events for all Year 12 students.
