PK-12 Feast of the Assumption Celebrations

Thursday 15 August 2019 is the Feast Day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the feast day chosen for the Marist Brothers at the time of their foundation by Saint Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Brothers and of Marist Education. To mark this significant Feast and Day of Holy Obligation in the life of the Church as well as the international Marist Institute, our PK-12 College Community will be celebrating the Feast of the Assumption across the College on this day.

Science Week

During Science Week, the Science Department will promote and coordinate a range of Science competitions and events for students.

Years 7-12 Athletics Carnival

The Guild Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 8 August. It is important to note that this is a compulsory school day for all students.

Students must wear their Guild uniform, not PE shirts on this day.

Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch and water. A kiosk is available but there could be long waiting lines and it will be costly.

 

ÐãÐãÖ±²¥ Parents Consultative Committee Meeting

An invitation is extended to all parents and guardians to attend the Parent Consultative Committee Meeting (NPCC).

Along with the usual format, topics that will be addressed are outlined below:

  1. ECE initiatives
  2. Whole School Literacy
  3. ACYF
  4. Strategic Planning process 2019/20
  5. Feedback Session

The NPCC is an important space for a collaboration of ideas. It is also an opportunity to meet parents who are engaged in facilitating our parents groups. These groups for 2019 are as follows: Primary Social Group; Friends of The Arts; and Arts Festival Committee.  to read more about the work of the NPCC.

REMAR Gold Retreat

The Remar Gold Retreat is a three-day retreat at ÐãÐãÖ±²¥, followed by fellowship at a local restaurant. Rowers will have their last formal opportunity to develop relationships with other rowers from across the state. They are encouraged to look beyond their three year Remar journey and are challenged to “Be a witness in their community through presence, simplicity and perseverance.â€
