Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools and Colleges 2018

The Catholic Performing Arts Festival has come to a close for 2018. We have had a record number of entries this year, with a record number of outstanding, excellence and merit awards being presented to our Performing Arts students.

Awards of note have been presented to Grace Hasler (Year 12) who was awarded the Caritas Australia, Phil Somers Sculpture Award for her mixed media work titled “Survival”, and the Sisters of St John Award was presented to Beth Redwood and Jessica Gugliotta (both Year 12) in recognition of winning the shield for the Secondary vocal solo/duet section, for their song titled “Flight by Carnelia”.
Beth and Jess have been invited to accept their shield at the Closing Concert on Monday 10 September and have earned the prestigious honour of performing their duet as part of the concert program. Tickets are available for the concert through the Perth Concert Hall website. Please .

We congratulate all our award winners and participants for the outstanding way in which they have represented our College. All our performers across the multitude of Arts sections conducted themselves with professionalism, commitment and passion for the Arts which is indicative of our 秀秀直播 Arts program. Congratulations and our sincere thanks to Miss Margaret Goldsmith for her excellent coordination of all the entries and outstanding management of the Concert Band section of the festival hosted in the Marist Auditorium. Miss Goldsmith has worked extremely hard again this year to showcase the artistic gifts of our students and staff as the Arts team of professionals, teachers and tutors work tirelessly to prepare our student artists and performers.

Thank you also to The Friends of The Arts committee for providing sensational Front of House refreshments and duties for the week of Concert band series, and to all our Arts parents who constantly support the students within Arts programs. It is indeed a huge collaborative effort.

Education Support Centre Fathers Day Craft Stall

The Education Support Centre’s Fathers Day Craft Stall was well received by the parents and students from both the Primary and Secondary Campuses last week. The students made over $400 and next week the students will decide what to do with the money they have made. All students involved really enjoyed the experience and appreciated the whole school community support. We are looking forward to our next Craft Stall in December. Staff, parents and students are always welcome to come to the Centre to purchase giftware from the students throughout the school day.
